The Largest Collection of American Childhood Memorabilia on Display in the World.
The Toy Museum At Natural Bridge is the largest collection of childhood memorabilia on display in the world. The museum collections feature many full sets and series of collectible toys particularly since 1975. There are hundreds of thousands of parts and pieces to many of the more than 45,000 items comprising the museum's holdings in toys, games and dolls which date from 1740 to 2000.

Tours are self-guided and average 45 minutes. Guided and group tours may be arranged.

The oldest artifacts are a pair of dolls made in England in 1740 and played with in Savannah, Georgia during the American Revolution.

Toys in the collection include:

  • Dolls - A representative selection of antique dolls plus modern collectible dolls including original Barbie, Ginny, Shirley Temple, Madame Alexander and others.
  • Electric trains - All gauges and scales from early Lionel to modern "G" and "z". World's largest permanent multi-scale layout currently under construction.
  • Action Figures - 1st Edition G.I. Joes, Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and complete sets of many TV and movie licensed characters with their accessories.
  • Star Trek - Complete set of orginal Mego figures and bridge, Dinky Toy die cast replicas from first season on television.
  • Star Wars - Original playsets and figures from Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, Empire Strikes Back, and Episode I.
  • Planet of the Apes--complete set of Mego figures with accessories.
  • Paper doll books - extensive collection dating from the 1920s, movie and television personalities.
  • Playsets - Original Louis Marx Co. of the 1950s and 60s, through to modern Conte collectibles of the 1990s.
  • Mechanical toys - From pre-WWII metal wind-ups by Schuco to modern battery ops - the first to do what they do.
  • Robots - Micronauts, battery operated talkers, original transformers and modern complex computer toys.
  • Games - From chess, Cootie and Leave it to Beaver to early Avalon Hill and beyond.
  • Toys - From pre-1900 tin toys and the original Mr. Potato Head to modern plastic wonders.
